Tidy Planet work with a huge number of different businesses, all with very different needs. The first customers to start using our solutions were Prisons, Community Groups and Universities, who were looking for a sustainable solution to rising disposal costs. We now have a much broader customer base as our product range, solutions, experience and worldwide distribution have grown. The systems can now be seen in food manufacture, MoD bases, oil exploration camps, hotels and care homes.

Pepsico
Walkers Crisps – North West UK. 2010 the site is at 99.6% recycling and re-use, with almost every item on site from oiled rags to potato peel having a home, there was still one more waste needing attention. 600 kilos of catering waste. The site chose to Tidy Planets Rocket A900 in vessel composter to provide their solution. The Rocket composts the leftovers from the huge staff canteen, the end product, compost is then destined for a set of staff allotments that have been created on site. Where staff at Walkers grow their own veg on site in their spare time.

Panasonic
Panasonic approached Tidy Planet to provide them with an in kitchen solution to food wastes. The staff canteen needed a simple solution that reduced logistics and transportation. A range of options were given and a neat and tidy macerating system has since been supplied and installed.

bp
BP approached Tidy Planet in 2010, with a request for a solution to the food wastes generated at 6 sites in Tblisi eastern Europe, oil exploration and pipeline camps. Huge numbers of staff at each, with catering facilities provided meant a lot of food waste. The solution was to have a centralised Rocket composting system provided by Tidy Planet, with each of the six camps having Dehydra Style macerator dewaterers. The food waste shipped from each of the sites to the centralised location for composting. Tidy Planet is now BP's preferred supplier for all food waste solutions and have commissioned in 2014 the supply of field support units, equipped with our latest food waste to energy systems, the Dragons. 2015 and BP's subcontractors have commissioned a further 4 massive energy plants from Tidy Planet to deal with their food wastes and CHP systems for their used cooking oils

Total
Total Oil Exploration and drilling, being a large oil exploration company comes with a need to provide documentable evidence of environmental best practice. With an oil drilling site with several thousand staff comes food wastes and a solution other than landfilling these wastes was sought. Tidy Planet were approached in 2012 to provide an A1200 Rocket Composter to treat these wastes. The machine is seeing service in Central Africa and more are set to be commissioned as the exploration grows.

AXA
AXA Sun Life Insurance, with over 4000 staff on site and a large catering facility, the site needed to improve their environmental performance, following a waste audit it was highlighted that a significant volume of food waste was being landfilled. Tidy Planet were approached to provide an on site solution, a Rocket A500 and Dehydra style macerator dewaterer installed as a fix. All the food wastes composted on site with ease.

Bank of America
The Bank of Americas head offices in North Wales, run by facilities giant Mitie, needed to manage one of the last none recycled wastes, food from catering. These were being disposed of by compactor and landfill at a significant cost. The solution – an A900 Rocket Composter. The site have been composting since 2010 and have improved their recycling even further by switching the compactor to dry mixed recycling instead of landfill now the food wastes have been removed, creating even greater savings.

Biffa Waste Management have Tidy Planet as their preferred supplier for food waste solutions for their more difficult wastes. Biffa’s proactive approach in dealing with wastes that are traditionally destined for landfill helping secure future business with their clients. Currently Tidy Planet are working heavily on solutions for packaged wastes from food manufacture with Biffa.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts
Through our Greek Distributor, the Hilton in Athens has become one of the first shining beacons of how food wastes can be treated responsibly in Greece. The site benefits from an A700 Rocket Composter and in kitchen dehydra dewaterer, with all of the food wastes now being composted on site in Athens.

Exxon oil exploration site in Chad, with many, many mining and exploration staff on site the A1200 Rocket Composter is put to good use on the food wastes created. The compost is created with a mix of local chipped hardwood vegetation
